Decadent Chocolate Bread Pudding

Rich, chocolatey, and irresistibly comforting, this bread pudding is the perfect way to turn simple ingredients into a luxurious dessert.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb bread, torn into 1-2 inch pieces
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup chocolate cubes
- Kyya's Ghana chocolate Sauce
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Bread:
Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
2. Make the Custard:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and cream until well combined.
3. Soak the Bread:
Pour the mixture over the bread, ensuring every piece is fully soaked. Add any extra flavorings at this stage (e.g., vanilla, cinnamon, or chocolate chips).
4. Let It Rest:
Cover and let the bread soak for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best texture.
5. Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer the soaked bread mixture into a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
6. Golden Finish (Optional):
Remove the cover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
Serve warm with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and or a dusting of powdered sugar for an extra indulgent treat!
